Is there any simple bolt-on pipes out there for an '03 Classic Cruiser? I'd love to have a little more sound, but can't stand the thought of parting with 400 clams or better for the stage 1 upgrade. If that's what it takes, I'll go ahead with it, let my dealer-Douglas and Frye in Sterling-do the work. But I'd also like to try a simple bolt-on and pay to have someone flash the chip, if there's an option like that out there.

The Stage I Vic pipes are bolt on's. You can't pick anyone better than Rich at Douglas-Frye to flash the e-prom. I haven't heard of anyone getting a better bang for their buck than the Stage I. I know D&D makes slip on's for '03's but they are more $$ than the Vic slip on's. remember that Stage I includes K&N air filter also.
The list price for Stage I is $479.99. If D-F will do it for $400, your getting a great deal!

Thanks Dave....I'm not quoting prices for Douglas and Frye, however. I have seen one msrp in the Vic online catalog at $349 for one of the Stage 1 kits, but I cannot remember for which model. It wasn't for mine, I know.
Glad to hear you've had good luck with Rich. I have had nothing but good experience with them since I bought my bike.
regards,
