Zack's V-Twin located in (historic) Hyde Park, NY is having their annual Open House on Saturday May 22, 2004. have not been there, but understand it is a well attended with good food event. would also give us Great Lakers a chance to meet many East coast riders.
a possible route for NIV riders could be:
Thursday, 5/20/04 - leave IL ride MI.
lodge with Jack, Kozy &/or MikeHike depending on # bodies.
Friday, 5/21 - ride south shore Lake Erie, OH-PA-NY . about 3/4 of the way to Zack's. lodge motel.
Saturday, 5/22 - finish ride (apx 3 hours) to Zack's in time for the open house. after Zack's, ride north apx. 1 hour to Bill's ("Moose"), owner/operator of "The Half Way House" bar/grill and have a party. lodge nearby in motel.
Sunday, 5/23 - ride NY Thruway to Niagara Falls NY & ONT views, then cut thru Ontario to MI. IVR's lodge with MI guys as ya did on Thursday, then finish ride home Monday 5/24.
so a four night trip only hits the motel pocketbook twice, and hell, we may even feed during your stays in MI.
NOTE: this route also qualifies for a notch in the "Loop the Lakes" series - ie, Lake Erie.
