Not the best shot of the bike, but a good one of the wife's case for her hair dryer!

Dave, always loved the color of your bike. Almost purchased one myself when I bought my 2000. Went to the dealer to purchase and someone got there an hour before I did. :biglaugh: Did I read on the VMC board that you had some work done to your engine while the tranny was being upgraded? If so, what did you have done???

Frank, I had the Andrews 402 cams installed. NO pistons - Just cams. Huge difference in the way the bike runs with the 03' tranny and cams.

My project for this winter is adding another front disk for some additional stopping power. I've got all the parts and the bike is at Douglas-Frye so Rich can disassemble the parts that are going out for chrome.

As long as we're posting pictures, here's the lastest one of the Vic along with my SV650.

The SV is my commuter bike. 380 lbs, 650cc, 70 hp, V-twin, a blast to ride. With the Micron pipe, it sounds like a cross between a Ducati and a Buell.

Are you chroming the front end? If you are how much is it and let me know if you like the results.

Just the fork lowers because of the duel front disk conversion.

1999 and 2000 models (like my 2000 SE) have the brake caliper on the right fork leg. In order to get a fork leg with the caliper mount on the left side, I had to find a left fork leg off of a 2001 - 2003 CC or a TC.

The lower fork legs on 1999 and 2000 models (like my 2000 SE) have a brushed finish; the fork legs on bikes with a caliper mount on the left fork leg have a painted finish.

So now, to have dual front disks, I have a brushed finish right fork leg and a painted finish on the left fork leg.

Once chromed, both lower fork legs will look the same. I would rather have the stock brushed finish on both legs, but that's not possible.

After all, this bike is to be ridden; it's not a show bike.
