I thought that was some of the prettiest parts of ILL that I have ever seen (thanks Dave and Mark) and some of the best riding. Sorry, I did not finish the ride, but thought is was necessary to get Jim and his wife back home before they really started hurting. We stopped for a bite and by the time we finished, they were both very sore. Sorry about getting there late, between the rain and my bike stalling every 2-3 miles it took way to long (almost foregot about being lost in a town of many streets that have numbers instead of names). Special thanks to Douglas and Frye for getting my bike fixed!! Heck, I was so pist off, I would have traded it for a new one right then and there. Nice dealer you are very lucky to have them. Thanks for all the hard work!!

Thanks to everyone that came out for the ride yesterday. We had a great time with the exception of Earl and Jim's accident. Glad that they made it home safe and that it wasn't any worse.

Frank, Daffy and I have been telling everyone that Douglas - Frye is the best for a long time. They really are great Victory people.

The food for the cookout after the ride was donated by County Market in Sterling. Douglas & Frye also had some door prizes that were given away at the cookout.

And the best part is through the generosity of the riders; we collected $450 to be donated to the Kyle Petty Victory Junction Camp in Memory of Jennifer Taylor.

Special thanks go to Mark and Julie. It wouldn't have been possible without their hard work and dedication.

To all:

This IS what it's all about!!
Really how much better can it get?, Doing something you enjoy with friends both new and old and raising some greenbacks for a worthy cause. My heartfelt thanks to all who donated and/or participated to make this event a success.

Dave, give yourself a pat on the back, job well done, and the route was superior.

BTW for the ride we collected a grand total of $470.00, all of which will be donated to help Kyle's kids.

ditto to everything that's been said. I really enjoyed the route, the ride and the people and it bodes well for bikers in the region that the NIVR and Douglas & Frye can host such a nice event!

There's more good riding North of Hwy 11 in the countryside along Hwy 78 to Black Earth and back that would make a good route sometime.

I agree on all points made. It was a fabulous day minus the mishaps. I learned some valuable lessons, met some wonderful people, and I am so very thankful that everyone is okay.

Well had my pocket open at the right moment today and the total funds raised has increased to $570.00. Sally Douglas of Douglas & Frye handed me a check for $100.00 to add to the donations.

FYI
The NIVR is continuing to accept donations untill the 50th. Our total keeps growing due to the generous riders in our area. Another $77 was donatnted by local GWRRA riders that were unable to attend the ride. So the NIVR total is now $647.
