After talking with the group out of Madison on Sunday, and discussions I have had with other people going to the 50th,(wanting to get to the hotel earlier) I think it would be in our (group from the Northwest Burbs)best interest to think about changing our route. The Madison group will be leaving the Vic Dealer in Sun Prairie Wisc. at 9 a.m. via Police escort. The group out of G&G's will also meet there. It will be almost impossible for us to get to G&G's in time to make it to Sun Prairie. I am suggesting we leave Americas Open Road at 6:00 a.m. and take 53 to 90. I think we could meet up at the Rest Stop in Belvidere just east of the Chrysler plant at 6:45 to meet others. (if Mark, Tim, Jim,T, Earl and others think this would work.) Please give me your thoughts.

Frank, don't get me wrong but that would have me leaving my house at 5:45 at the latest to get to a hotel at 2-2:30-3(depending on the length of stops) General concensus of myself, sidecar, and t is to pass on the early morning ride and run behind y'all by an hour or two.

Not a problem Mark. I just wanted to get to the meeting place in time to ride in with everyone. Besides when you get to my age, leaving at 5:45 in the morning isn't early! Good to hear you are not going on STRIKE. Hope they gave you what you wanted.

Can I get an amen to the strike thing? Haven't seen any details but my understanding is we saved about 2500 jobs that the company wanted to farm out.
I hear ya on the age thing I watch the sun come up near every day.

AA MEN ..... AAA MEN.... AA Men.. Amen.. Amen
Here is a bunch of them for ya. Actually it's part of a song that I would sing for ya but don't know how to post a voice stream. :biglaugh:
Amen to the strike thing. I'm kinda of the other side of the fence, but believe in the following axiom:
If you think about mostly about employees, profit will come.
If you think about mostly about profit, employees will go.
Also,
I'll ditto Daffy on passing on the early departure date. That's a bit early for me, and it'll be along day anyway. Don't worry, I'll reserve some drinking and carousing energy for Friday nite.
Ride safe guys.

Frank,
Terry Clark and I are leading a group up, and are planning to spend Thursday night at Wisconsin Dells. According to yahoo maps, that is only an hour from Sun Prairie. Are you still stopping there?
Were could we meet?

Dave,
Hope you have a room reserved in the Dells. It might be tough to get one during the summer just walking in without a reservation.
