Weather permitting, I am planning a ride up through Northwest IL and over into IA on Saturday, 10/23. (If the weather doesn't cooperate Saturday, I will try to do it Sunday.) Anyone interested in joining can meet me at Douglas & Frye around 9:30 am with a planned departure at 10:00. I am figuring lunch in Galena or Dubuque or somewhere around there. It should be beautiful.

That sounds like a good time. If there's a chance of rain on either day but its a go anyway, I'll have to ride my beemer. I still haven't replaced the nearly-gone rubber on my Vic.

I just checked weather.com and it isn't looking very good for Saturday. Temps are okay , but they're predicting 30 mph winds. Right now Sunday looks to be a much better day. I'll be keeping an eye on the weather and posting updates.

I just checked weather.com again and it looks like it makes sense to ride on Sunday (sunny, 65 degrees, winds at 7mph) rather than Saturday. Douglas & Frye won't be open, but I think it is still a good meeting place. We can stick with the same basic timeline. Anyone interested in riding up to the Galena/Dubuque area for some great roads and scenery meet in the parking lot at Douglas & Frye around 9:30am on Sunday Oct 24. Figure on an expected departure at 10:00am.

Questions or comments are welcome.

Hey, nice ride boys & girls! I reached home about 10:40 PM. Its 4 hours from Cerro Gordo to Dixon with just gas stops, but it was all pleasure. Highway 26 is sure a great route up.

Lets do it again next year.

Steve,

It was a great day. Thanks for making the trip up and being our tour guide in northeast Iowa. Next year?... Absolutely!
