Toys for Tots

Saw the Chicago Toys for Tots Bike run this morning on the news. Did anyone go? It is the first Sunday in Dec. every year so we should have it on the calendar. Maybe we can get a Victory contingent next year.

I have gone for the past 3 years and would have this year if not for my accident. Maybe next year we can get a group together .

I read in the Tribune that a 52 y/o off-duty Dupage County deputy was struck and killed by a 74 y/o male driver during the parade. Sometimes it defies logic, doesn't it? It's a sad regret that this outting, of all the rides we go on, would be scarred like this.
Makes you want to hug your kids again, yes?

It was the first fatal accident in 27 years of Toys for Tots runs. The Tuesday Tribune reported the driver of the car was under the influence of alcohol. I think it happened at 10:30 AM
