This place has been quiet lately so I thought I might start some discussion. I was in St. Petersburg FL, Wednesday through Friday Morning. The company I work for is headquartered there. Perfect weather, 80 during the day, 70 at night. Bikes everywhere. I am drooling at the thought of getting on a bike. Stupid me, if I thought about it, I could have stayed the week end, rented a bike, a rode 350 miles to see my parents. Rosemary is in Phoenix with the girly friends for the week end, my son is with his mother, what the "F" did I come home for. So I get up, look at the weather in the paper. 36 degrees, rain in the afternoon turning to snow, maybe 3 to 6 inches. Shit!!!! About 10 I get in the car and drive over to my tax person’s house to give her all my tax stuff. While I am driving home, I look at the outside temp, 39 degrees. No wind, sun is trying to come out and the streets are clean from all the rain. Roll the windows down in the car and stick my head out a couple of times and race home. Get the winter riding gear on, take the bike off the tender and push that button. As I am backing out the driveway, I think little “Woody” starts saluting, he’s getting excited also. I head up north on some nice back roads with this huge shit eaten grin (woody has since calmed down). Put on 70 miles or so, (only seen two other bikes out) then head south to stop at the shop (AOR). Talked bikes for an hour and warmed up a tad, purchased a new battery for the TCD. Got a Big Boar, 350 cold starting amps. Dealer said he likes them better than Odyssey because he has never had one returned for warranty in two years. Anyway, get home around 5:30, put the baby too bed. Rosemary calls and tells me it’s snowing in Phoenix (:)), my brother calls and asks if I want to go to the boat and do a little gambling. Sure, take a hour nap (when your 51, an hour nap is important especially when “Woody” gets perked up) and head out to do some gabling. Place is jammed, stand in line to play Caribbean Stud Poker for an hour. Get my seat, and in two hours, my best hands were 2 pairs of 6’s, one time the dealer did not qualify, the other time he had a flush and once I had two small pairs and won. Now down 500 dollars, I have 40 bucks left. I go to the slots and find this stupid game that you can bet on 12 different ways. Put the 40 in and start betting. It was a 25 cent machine and still do not know what I was doing. All I know is I hit the 12 way button and hit “Max Bet”. An hour latter, I am up 900 dollars. Ya baby!!!!! Put another 2 back and walked out with 200 to the good. I am still in a cloud about getting to ride. Man this winter has to get over, can’t wait to do it again. Sorry about this being too long!!

Frank, You have me drooling. Last night was the first time in 3 1/2 months that I could even put my left boot on. Every time we get a little warm up I want to take the 99 with the sidecar out for a short ride. Then I think it may be best to wait until the Doc gives some type of a OK. The next visit is 3/11 and I hope to see some healing of the main break by then. All of the other breaks have healed or healing and if there is no sign of healing at the main (seperation)break , I will have to have a bone graft done  :( .
In the Wind,
Tim T...sidecar

PS: Does the Miata with the top down qualify ? :goofy:
