Spring Ride Date: April 16th, 2005

The spring ride will leave from each of the following dealers at 11AM on Saturday, April 16th.

Douglas-Frye
America's Open Road
Randy's Cycle
Motoplex Joliet

We are looking for volunteers to lead the rides from each of the dealers. All rides will end at The Club House in Maple Park, IL. at approx. 3pm
There will be $5 per person charge to cover a cookout at the end of the ride.
ALL bikes welcome.

I will do the ride from AOR. We can ride up to Randy's or meet the group somewhere along the route. Let me know!!

Put me down for being at Motoplex in Joliet. I'll need some help getting a route put together since I've only been to Tim's once. Maybe we could meet up somewhere along the way with another group??

Tim, I still need to get some flyers to put up at Motoplex. I called Diana and left her a message that I need the graphics and money. I got a message back to get in touch with her this week.

Sorry I missed the meeting Sunday. A friend got rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy (sp?).

Tony, The flyers have been delivered. I do not know what route Dave is planning maybe his group can meet yours in the Starve Rock area. If not I will try and help you plan a route. I do know from a ride out of Joliet last year that there are some nice roads from there west , I just would not be able to find them again.

Just wanted to know if any of the ride leaders need to worry about wavers? This is a "Official Ride" I believe. If we do, where do we get them?

I used the VMC waiver on the last (only) ride. We kind of figured since we're an official chapter that it would suffice? You could download it form the VMC site unless it's been moved. Lemme know and I'll dig though my backups and post it here if you can't find it.

Did the pre ride yesterday from Douglas & Frye. Will be about 100 miles of some of the best roads Whiteside, Lee, Ogle and DeKalb counties have to offer.

The ride from D-F to Tim's will be coming in from the Byron, IL area. I doubt that it will be able to hook up with any of the other groups, but let me know if you want to try.

The forecast for Saturday is starting to look better. They were saying 60% chance of rain with a high of 59, now it’s only 20% chance of rain with a high of 67. Looks to be a great day for a ride.

Do you have all the ride leaders’ cell numbers? We will need to give you head counts when we leave the dealers so you can get the right amount of food needed for the cookout. Remember it will be $5 per person to cover the food costs.

Will you have the ride waivers at D-F Saturday or do I need to bring them? Let me know.

I printed a bunch of the waivers Daffy posted a few clicks up. Sleepmaster Mike was planning the route and doing a pre-run on Sunday. Last I talked to him it sounded like a great ride. I'm really looking forward to it, especially since I just dropped off the Vegas for a stage 1 today. This will be a great way to start breaking in the new pipes.
