What limited knowledge I have, I'll give a short shot.
I haven't removed the tubes but have opened up the cover and didn't notice much other than more breather noise. As far as the rev limiter not yet, There is a guy on the VMC site that was working on a totally different ECM that was to address this, haven't heard anything as yet. He got a serious hand slap for manufacturing aftermarket chips without Victory's blessing and I haven't heard much since. I do know from what I've read from him he's a fuel injection god compared to what I know. I'm sure if he comes up with something the talk will travel fast as it is something we all would like to see, however since the last bout with corp I'd guess the plan will be more structured to prevent the stoppage that happened to his chip. As far as the other sounds like you're on your way to optimum performance.
2 1/2 cents?
good luck , Mark

Hey Mark, Are you talking about Tumper's Chip?
Zippr, There is a pLace called "Northstar Custom" in Oseola,WI. that is doing alot with Victory Customs. I beleive he is Building 100ci plus motors for the 99 thur 2001 Vics. He may have a custom air box you could use. Jere Peterson technfab@amerytel.net . Sounds like you will have a screaming Vic when your done:cool: .

Other than North Star, who are very good by the way, the only other Dealers that come to mind are Lloyd at Hard on Horsepower http://www.quickvic-usa.com/ or Zacks V Twin up in Ney york. You can get their info from the Victory site. Also you might want to post on the Victory Motorcycle Club site http://thevmc.com/ and see if you get any respnse from the guys there.

Guys, as performance goes and all the talk about the different chips, what about access to the existing map in the ECM? Has anyone come across detailed specs on what it takes to connect and modify the existing mappings? It seems to me that mixture adjustments should be accessible to the owner and Victory should make it possible for the owner to do his/her own adjusting. Any info you might have on how to communicate with the ECM would be appreciated....Thanks.

Greetings kdl54! Welcome to the board.
If your objective with fuel mixture is limited to enriching the air/fuel ratio relative to the stock map over various parts of the rpm range, the Techlusion EFI will let you do that, about $180. A Dynojet Power Commander III will allow you to go further, and you can write and upload your own map or use one of theirs, but its a more expensive.
Jere could give you authorative info about both options. Access to the Victory factory map has been discussed in threads on the VMC board. I'm not sure if anyone has gotten to it and altered it or not. Some have expressed concern about potential proprietary issues.
Later,
Steve

Thanks for the welcome, I have had my Vic since '99 and just completed the circle around lake superior. I can only recomment the ride. But please enjoy the scenery and four days is just not enough. As to the Techlusion EFI goes I have not heard anything about that in the past. So I will check it out. I am aware of the Power Commander but at $324 it is somewhat pricey. Since with access to the ECM one should be able to accomplish the same thing. As to the propriatary nature all I can say is that there are people hacking into much more sophisticated systems all the time. And while I understand the dealers are in business to make money and much rather sell me a new bike there should be a way for someone that enjoys to do his own wrenching to do it all. Heck, we did when we used carbs.... And with the right tools this is actually easier. I will keep after the access and keep you posted as to my success and or failure.... again thanks for the welcome.:p
