Laura Scully and I would like to invite you to the first Chicago/Southern Wisconsin Victory Rider's Association (VRA) ride in 2003. The first ride will be in support of dealers in Northern Chicago Burbs and Southern Wisc. I am working with the Dealers to provide beverages and possibly food and discounts on merchandise. The tentative date (depends on the weather) is May 10th. The route is as follows and will leave at 10 a.m. sharp, registration will start at 9.

Saturday I am going to test ride the route. Dealers are being very helpful, We currently have a couple that will offer a raffle on some free stuff, C & G has offered to supply lunch (seem like really nice people). I am working on getting a one time Discount from Americas Open Road on accesories. I will need to get some kind of estimate of the number of people that will attend so C & G can plan lunch. Ok, one week to go for the ride. I talked to the man upstairs and he tells me weather in the high 60's. Hey Dave are you comming??? Have not heard from you.

Ok, this morning the forecast says rain in the late afternoon. We are on for saturday!!! If by chace it is raininng in the a.m. and we cancel, I will poast on this site and e-mail everyone that I have an address for. Rain, rain go away .....

I'll be staying Friday night at the Super 8 in Elgin (I90 & County Rd. 31). I've planned a route that will minimize freeway travel as I approach the city. Its I55 to Dwight then North on Hwy 47 to I90, then a short hop East to my motel.

Hwy 47 from Dwight to I90 is kind of a long ride in itself, but I its mostly rural and small towns. Do you know any better route that minimizes freeway near the city?

That was an awful lot of riding. I left at the right time and it was dry all the way home. Nice turnout for a rainy day. Thanks for pulling it off Frank, and thanks to the dealers for snacks and lunch.
