Christy and I were planning on going. Any one else want to meet up and ride over? We are flexible as to times or routes.

Lets get a few VICs in the parking lot.
How about it Earl? It's not even close to a VMC event.

My brother and I have been talking about going as well. We had talked about leaving around mid morning, but we are flexible. The more the merrier.

Any thoughts about when and where. I was thinking meeting at D&F around 9:00 and on the road by 9:30. Should get us there around 11:00 - 11:30. That's almost 1/2 way through the event though, so we could even do earlier if interested. What sounds good to everyone?

Yep, I'm going to try and be there. I'll know for sure tomorrow but for now it's a plan.

Which route do you guys plan on taking. Frank and I are thinking about shooting out with ya. We both need to be back by 6 so the earlier the better.

Tim, How early can you guys get to Sterling. I think we could probably leave earlier. I only suggested 9:30 figuring someone wlike yourself or Frank would have to leave pretty darn early to get to Sterling much earlier. As far as routes go, there are several possibilities. I was looking at Rte 30 west to Rte 136 west to Rte 61 north to Rte 64 west to Anamosa. But I figured that could be determined when we meet. You guys would make the best time to Sterling on I88. We could all meet someplace closer to I88 at just about anytime you like.

I'm flexible also. More important to ride with a group than what route we take. Best route I've taken was Rt30 to DeWitt then Rt61 north to Rt64 then north on US151 to J&P. Just about 2 hours from Dixon. We could take Rt136 to Rt61 as Mark suggested also. I've never gone that route before.

They were repaving Rt64 last time I went to J&P in May. So that could be another alternative. I just remember beating my brains out on Rt64 from J&P to Savanna before. It could be a nice ride if they repaved east of Maquoketa.

Tim, Let us know what you and Frank want to do.

Why don't we stick with the original plan. Frank and Tim should be able to get to Douglas & Frye by 9:15 or so. Any objections?
