July 9th ride. We will depart the Three Brothers Restaurant in Woodstock (RT 47 and Lake St.) at 9:30. We will be traveling up into Wisconsin by way of Elkhorn past Aspen Valley and on to Pleasant Prairie (just south of Kenosha) to the Midwest distribution center of JellyBelly Beans (about 80 miles). The trip will include free JellyBelly Beans, a half hour tour of the facility which includes both A/V presentations and live entertainment and a stop at the JellyBelly store where over a hundred different JellyBelly candies can be sampled and purchased. After leaving the JellyBelly facility we will ride another 35 miles to the Broken Oar in Cary Illinois for a late lunch. Riders are free to leave the Oar and travel home on their own at their own time, or I can lead the group to US 14 and IL 31 in the event people are not sure of where they are.
Anyone who is interested can just show up, but a quick note letting us know you'll be there would be helpful.
