OK, I can get a steal of a deal on a 99 Victory, it has some extra's and stage 1 kit.
Some people tell me to stay away from early Victorys, talking clunking shifting, little things.
Can you guys give me some pro's and con's?
Thanks, all my bud's ride Harley's[33 of them], and I ride a 02 Shadow 1100.
I ride Polaris sleds, and know they are the best, so I figured Id try a Victory.
Please email me with anything you got!

thanks!

Carl

Carl, Is this a New or Used 99. If new make sure they do all of the recall items. These are mostly minor items. The only major none recall thing would be the Transmission . I have a 99 with 24k hard miles and the trans is still OK. I did get a 4 year warrenty when I bought it and still have one year left. I also have a 2001 but think the 99 has a better look. Even if you would have to pay for the Trans upgrade you may still come out ahead.

No, it was used, but I waited tooooo long and the guy sold it to someone else.
So I am still looking, but there are soem people out there wanting unrealistic prices for bikes.

Carl, There are some Dealers that still have some New older years at some very good prices. You need to call around and check.

I am planning on buying a 99 with 2900 miles with pipes and a chip, but this thing is mint, for $6800.00.
He has had it serviced by the Victory dealer, so it has had updates.
Bank say's it is worth $11,000.00.
Sounds like a great deal too me!
What u thinkin?

Tim T. Carl you might check Wehrle Brothers in Vandalia, IL. I haven't been impressed with this dealer for repairs, but as of early March they still had several older models on the floor. I'm not impressed with their prices either. Maybe thats why they still have those bikes.

Carl, See if you can find out when the speedometer was changed. This will give you more of a true milage. Mine says 11,800 but I have 24,000 on the bike. The milage on a 99 went to zero if you disconected the battery. They recalled the speedo.
It sounds like a good Buy. You will like it:D

Tim, the guy im buying it from said it had all the service updates, but when asked him which one's, he was like, the dealer will know.
I am buying from a non-typical rich guy, he told me numerous times he is loaded and hads like 6 bikes, 5 boats, a million dollar house, etc..
Even if miles arent true, bike is mint,a nd I am sure I will be happy, especially with the price!!
Thanks!

Any dealer should be able to access a special database at Victory to get a report on your unit. The report lists the status of all recalls for that unit.

Now it is getting interesting.
I just had a guy form Florida offer me a 01, with 2400 miles for $7500.00.
guess you all know which way I am going now.
Plus it is all black, has a 4 year extended contract, and also lot's of goodies.
Victory owners are some real nice people!!!:rightgun:
