Hey guys I'm looking for a Dyno Tuner somewhere in the area. I'm right near Elgin. Who's had experience and how much am I probably going to spend?

Thanks,

Luke

Luke, You can try Pierce HD on Peace rd. in DeKalb. If Andre is still there he use to work on vics. Call there 815-756-3226 and talk to Andre. They charged me $70 about two years ago.

I talked to Andre yesterday, he's no lomger there. I am not aware of anyone local that "Tunes" Vic's on a Dyno.

Luke,
I see in your signature, you have Lloyds VFC box, I wouldn't think you need someone who specializes in Vic's. I would think any place that did dyno tuning would be able to do the job. Maybe even a DynoJet dyno center.

Hope this is of some help.

Hope this is of some help. The second shop in the bottom link, Burrell Power Sports, does all the work on my XR650 and I've had my Vic on his dyno several times. I've never had him tune it but he does a lot of dyno tuning of other brands (and my XR) and he sells Power Commanders and knows how to tune with them. He's probably not the closest to you, but if you're interested ask for Chad Burrell. He's an independent shop and I've seen him working on Harleys as well as the Japanese brands.

I would guess anyone with a dyno would be able to do it. I talked to a place in Wisconsin yesterday that uses Power Commanders and they suggested waiting til May for temperature/humidity reasons.

If I wait that long I'll probably just wait and try to hit Lloyd at one of the meets or make a road trip during that time to New York. Be a nice little run I'm sure.
