First Annual Gurnee Ride for Life; June 11, 2006

What: The Gurnee Ride for Life committee is holding the First Annual Gurnee Ride for Life, a motorcycle/Jeep Wrangler fundraiser ride for the American Cancer Society. Registation is at 9am at Fatman's Gurnee, Routes 21 and 41 in Gurnee; optional breakfast available. Bikes/Jeeps out at 10:30 for a 90-mile ride through NE Illinois and SE Wisconsin. We end up at Austin's Saloon, 481 Peterson Rd in Libertyville, IL, for an optional BBQ/live band, silent auction, Bike Beauty Contest, and???

Registration fee: $20/rider, $15/passenger; includes ride pin. Breakfast (cheap but good!) and BBQ ($10 with cash bar) are optional.

Had a great time. There were at least 8 Vic out of about 140 total bikes, not bad about 5%. The Vic's seem to get alot more attention now then in prior years. I have had more people coming up to me asking ? about Victories, than in prior years. It's great owning a Vic:cool: .

My friend bought the leather Victory jacket at the silent auction - I think he might be buying a Victory soon. Another one is itching for a Hammer - kind of sorry he bought a Honda VTX 1300.

Yes, having my big, red Vic is an attention grabber!
