Nice flyer!
Do you have a PDF version I can use to print copies to place at Randy's?

There are copies at all of the dealers listed at the bottom of the Flyer. If the flyer could be put copied and put up at any other frequented locations that would be great. We are not sure how to get it into a PDF file.:(

I thought our goal was to have lunch either at the SR Lodge or a near by place. I would think we need to arrive sometime between noon and 1. Does anyone know if there is an enterance fee to get into the park?

I think AOR's group will need the meet time to be around 2:00. This should give all groups ample time to get there and not be rushed. If there are no objections to the 2pm time posted here by this Friday, we will use the 2pm meet time.

No entrance fee Jim.(at least in the past years) If you've never been there before it's a real nice walkabout as well, just don't go past the railings to get a better view it will get you a ticket and a ride in the backseat if you don't fall.;)

It's been many years since I was to SR. With Blago taxing and charging fees on everything I was concerned he may have added an enterance fee on state parks too.

Are the Arlington Heights and Huntley groups still planing to ride to the club house and then on to Stave Rock together? If so, what time should be be at Tim's?

Jim, I am going to one of the dealers to ride out with that group. I have not decided on which dealer yet. So you need to make the route to meet with AOR's group if that is what they want and then to Starved Rock by around 2pm.

We'll most likely be leaving AOR around 10am. Rt72 to RT47 to I80 to SR. Tim, if its ok to meet up at the clubhouse let me know. If not maybe meet up with some at Randys before heading south with a nice size group. Joliets on the way. Would be interesting if we could meet up with the group leaving there as well.

Tim, I now see your going to meet at a dealer let me know where you would like to meet with our group. Also would like to see what route would be best to get to SR.

i was assuming that joliet is coming up 80 but i guess they could also might be using back roads in witch case and 80 and 47 meet wouldt work ! just secound guessing myself !

I think the BP at 47 & 72 would be a great place for the Arlington Heights and Huntley groups to meet. Then we could head straight down 47 and pick up the Joliet group in Morris. There is a gas station on the west side of 47 just to the north of I-80 with a couple of motels behind it. That would be a good place to meet the Joliet group. We could cross the Illinois river in Morris (nice new 4 lane concrete bridge). There is road a mile or two south of the river that leads west all the way to SR.
This is just a suggestion. This is the route I plan to use for the Huntley group if we go by ourselves.

Right now I'm planning on the backroads. Did some recon Saturday and think I have a route worked but I'm open to changes. I'm looking for an alternate to Route 6 to get to Seneca. Taking 6 gets kind of lousy in Morris and I'd rather not deal with the traffic. All ideas are welcome. I've got Starved Rock waypointed on the GPS just in case. :D
We can meet up with people at any point. One stop will probably be Boondocks in Seneca. Let me know where you want to meet and we'll find it.

What is "Boondocks in Seneca" and what makes it worth the side trip?

A decent place to stop for a refreshment or two right on the river. They have an outside bar and usually some type of food. Coming from Joliet, its really not a side trip but on the way and almost a half way point. Good place to stop, stretch, and take a break.

Jim, will we meet for sure at 72 and 47?? What time? We are leaving at 10:00 a.m. from Arlington Heights. Thanks

We will meet you guys at 47 and 72 (BP on southwest corner). It won't take us long to get there. We'll leave at 10:30 which should have us there at 10:45. I don't know how long it will take you guys coming all the way from Arlington Heights to get there but I would think we will get there first. Who ever gets there first will have to wait for the others. See you there, I look forward to riding with you and the Arlington Heights group.
I would think we could meet up with the Joliet group in Seneca at Boondocks around 12:30 if everyone is in agreement. Then after a cold coke we could ride on to SR to meet up with the groups from East Peoria and Sterling for lunch.
NOAA weather for Saturday in Utica calls for: Mostly sunny, with a high around 86. Southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. In other words, GREAT riding weather!

I'LL SECOND THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!(sunscreen on the nose)
Please don't forget to ask your participating dealer for a donation........ and if you want to give more than the set amount for the ride I'm sure that the camp will accept it graciously.(last year a solo rider wrote a check for $100.00, almost like a challenge) FWIW we donated $1000.00 to the VJGC last year and we still have a small seed to donate this year.

For the Peroria and Sterling groups meeting, Tiskilwa or the McDonalds at the intersection of Hwy 29 and Hwy 6 would work. That would require extra time and might require part of the route to be cut to compensate, however, which I'm not too crazy about.

A huge thank you to all involved. Cost involved .......Natta
Donations collected to date from the ride....... $620 + $115 seed from last year for a total of ......... $735
