This ride will leave from Biker's Dream in East Peoria at 10:30 AM. The shop is just North of I74 at exit 96 on East Washington, on the river side of the street.

The route will follow some of the curvies up and down the East slope of the Illinois River valley, through Lacon and cross the river at Henry and gas up. From there, up Hwy 29 to County Rd 23, and then West on that really curvy road towards Tiskilwa. About a mile before Tiskilwa we'll go South on 1925E and then West on 700N to the wind turbines and spend some time there. From there we'll cross the Hennepin canal, then go part way to Princeton and double back into the valley and follow Hwy 29 to Spring Valley. We'll cross the river on Hwy 89 and then follow backroads to Hwy 71 and Starved Rock State Park. This route is full of twisties. My biggest problem will be deciding which roads to cut to get the ride down to 3.5 hours.
Anyone is welcome to lead the ride with directions I'll provide, otherwise I will have to lead in my Honda - not that anyone would be held up or have their view blocked by that - trust me! It does seem weird though, to have a car leading a ride.
Here is some video I shot yesterday at the turbines. Listen for the songs of a few field birds in the first one:
