Hey Guys,
We are back as of Sunday June 15th. We didn't have enough room for the computer in the trailer.....so that's why you haven't heard from us for the past 2 1/2 weeks.:p :biglaugh: We had a great time.....5500 miles on the bike and only 60 miles worth of rain and that was with Randy from Montana right after Spirit Lake. It could have been a little bit warmer in some parts of the country (Yellowstone was 35 degrees and we needed more clothes). As for California, (sorry to those guys who live there), we'll never go back without our umbrellas on our noses. Not one person said hello...not even some on bikes. By the way, did anyone know that the entire state of California is pre-pay gasoline. We didn't and what a surprise when I tried to pump gas for a couple of minutes and no one said a word to me. Lisa asked the guy inside what was wrong and he said All of California is pre-pay- I wonder why? Other than that particular state, we had a great time. We stopped by Four Seasons in Rapid City, SD and they still haven't seen a Vegas as of that time but hope to have one by the end of that week. We stopped by Tri City Polaris in Salt Lake City, UT and they had a couple of Vegas' on the floor and one had to remain as a demo only and couldn't be sold. They helped us out with the trailer wiring (something got jarred and left was right, right was left and stop was flash all lights everywhere:confused: ). We stopped by Reno Cycles in Reno, NV
for the oil change and they had a couple of Vegas' on the floor. Hey, I know that the Vic tank holds exactly 5 gallons of gas. How do I know, you ask? Because we ran out of gas 2 miles before a gas station in Texas. (Would have been nice if they had a sign letting us know the next gas station is 50 miles ahead - I would have stopped). The only other Vic we saw on the road was a custom red on a trailer in Springfield, MO - he was leaving and we were arriving, so I didn't even get to look at it. Hey, remember that great restaurant "The Patio" in Quincy? We detoured there just to have dinner before we came home to the chaos waiting for us. And can you believe it, they remembered all of us from last year. Imagine that? Time for me to end this story.

Sounds like ya had a large time, stopped at a gas station in Urbana that was prepay only, sucks! I like to pay cash for gas and I ain't real fond of handing a 20 out to some highschool dropout for 5 or 6 bucks of gas and then worry if I'm gonna have to remind them of how much I gave em. V2V???? See ya on the 4th if not before.

I don't think I can make the V2V. We have a abate run on the 28th. If I can it will be with the sidecar and kids. We will see you all on the 4th . And yes the trip was awesome.
