I stopped by to say hello at Douglas & Frye this past weekend and Rich had this great example of a 1970 Honda CL350 on the stand - one of his personal motorcycles. It brought back some memories because a 1971 model just like this was my first bike. Mine was gold with black trim and the tank graphic was different, but otherwise....
I bought it new for $800 in Minneapolis when I was a high school Junior, I think. I don't recall needing a motorcycle endorsement. The first time I ever piloted a motorcycle was riding it home from the shop, about 50 miles. I wound up riding it on dirt trails in the summer, and then over snowmobile tracks on the same trails in the winter, so I traded it for a Suzuki 250 two-stroke dualsport a year later.
