Well we ended up with a small but rugged group for ride one 2007 of the local Victory club. Headed west on IL. RT72 caught the rain @ about IL.RT25 but these riders wanted to tough it out and we did. Pulling over we all jumped into our rain gear. Then faced the unstopping near hurricane force wind, tossing us from side to side at its will, driving rain reaching any part that wasn't completely waterproof and dropping temps that made the rain hitting the skin feel like it was getting hit with a sandblaster without batting an eye. Onward we rode. Each rider supporting the other by keeping the group tight and acting like it didnt bother us.(sure it didn't) After about 90 to 100 miles I know that I, for one was thinking "WTF am I doing out in this shyt?" I'm gonna kill Scotty :rightgun: and his "I wanna put some miles on today." But, it was kinda nice seeing him freeze his arse off with the rest of us. That sure gave me comfort. (Just kidding Scotty:D )Next time the local bar when the weathers this bad I thought. Yeah, we made it back ok. Confident in the fact that our manhood was still intact. Funny how good hot bath and dry pair of socks after feels so good. Still, what is it that after all that? I cant wait till next weeks ride? Does that make me a some kinda sicko??? FYI I wouldnt of missed it for anything .
