You're right, looks like it will be great weather. I'm game for a ride, but the girlfriend isn't around this weekend so I can only be gone as long as the dog can hold it.:laugh: ( about 7-8 hours ) and I'd be leaving from the city.

How are you liking the new bike?

I only have about 300 miles on it. I have installed the MBW LED turn signals and the MBW side mount Radius License Plate bracket that attaches to the engine case. I have to mount the front signals and need the 05 Hammer with drag pipes map. With the Ness Pipes it runs very lean with the 07 map. So far I like the bike, because of the lean condition it has a hesitation at lower RPM's and I get a Pop ever now and then. Lets see if anyone else is interested.

I recieved this e-mail about a charity ride. Thoughts???


I am writing to see if I could get your help.
The charity ride that I have been working on had to be re-scheduled.
Last Saturday, there was lightning and the rain never let up over
Soldiers Field where we were leaving from.

It was a real disappointment. There were a good
number of bikers there and Fox News and Channel 5 was there to
cover the event.

Now, I am having to reschedule for THIS SUNDAY and I'm in a total
panic. I don't think people are going to show up again and I really
need to put together a good group of riders to support the charity -both male and female.


We leave THIS SUNDAY from Illinois Harley Davidson in Berwyn, IL. We
ride out to Lake Shore Harley Davidson in Libertyville - there we will have a BBQ and give away tons of prizes from IL HD, LS HD and Woodstock HD

Registration is from 8:30 to 9:30 and we leave IL HD promptly at 9:45 am.
Doantion request is $ 20.00

If you can come out and participate I would appreciate it so much.
Do you know of other girls (and guys) who might enjoy the ride and want to support a good charity - Chicago Abused Women Coalition? If so, can you share the information with them?

I was wondering what percentage of the take Brawin's management company, which is running it, gets of the take. Struck me that it's a bit on the commercial side; more a promotional event for the other American motorcycle with the serendipitous side effect of a worthwhile charity getting some benefit. On the other hand I suppose somebody has to organize and run it and we couldn't expect them to do it out of the goodness of their hearts. Also, would we be "Just a bunch of onions in a petunia patch"? Not saying I wouldn't go, a ride's a ride, just not crazy about it at first glance.
