Any one planning on going to Spirit Lake in August
I was thinking of leaving on the 13th and camping once there

we are going. the G/F parents live about an hour away near Algona IL

we will be staying with them.

I know its a ways off but I figured I would put it out there
I as of now am going solo, looking to find someone who would be leaving on the 13th might want to ride out.

I am planning on attending. I live in Lake Zurich. I will be camping at a hotel though. ;) ;)

There will be a group riding out of Randy's Friday morning (the time depends on what time Randy wants to leave). We can meet up with anyone at one of the oasis along I-90.

I've got reservations at the Super 8 a block from the factory. I don't know of any organized lodging plans. I think those who want to ride out together will do just that, ride out together and then meet up for the events.

Bigjim hopefully will meet up at Randys prior to August, what does the chapter ussually do come spring?
I may look in to a hotel but since Im going solo I ussually do the camping thing to save a few bucks

Off topic he replied... Ride. We do the 3 IVR rides and some of the national (VMC) rides and then some of our own.

I was talking to Randy and he is wanting to do a weekly dinner ride once the weather gets nice. The dinner rides will meet at Randy's (the night may vary) around 7:00 pm. The plan is to ride for 45 - 60 minutes ending up at either a restaurant or a bike night. I will be working with Randy to choose destinations for each week. If you have any suggestions post them so I can let Randy know.

Now back to the original thread topic... Spirit Lake and the AVR.
I suggest everyone make reservations soon as the places in and around Spirit Lake fill up fast. We can ride out together, stay where ever we can and meet up each day to do things together and to ride home on Sunday.
